LCUSA Competition License & Membership
To obtain a Lotus Cup USA Competition License, please fill out the membership application at HERE. A provisional competition license may be granted for novice drivers. The LCUSA highly recommends all drivers attend a proper racing school like the Lotus Driving Academy, Skip Barber, or Jim Russell.
To be eligible for the LCUSA Championship, drivers must have a valid LCUSA Membership. New drivers are allowed to compete in two events before become a LCUSA member with the ability to keep your points. Please contact (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for membership package.
LCUSA Competition Rules & Regulations
The Lotus Cup USA series Rules and Regulations can be found here. Please read over these rules thoroughly to understand each class. You may compete in either the Time Attack or Race Series to earn points toward the 2012 Lotus Cup USA Championship.Time Attack = A competition based on your fastest lap in the time trial session. The driver (per class) with the fastest lap within the time trial session will be awarded with the win.
Race Series = A wheel-to-wheel race series based regionally and with 6 different Lotus’ classes. You car must have all the required safety equipment including roll cage, driver safety gear, etc. Drivers must hold a valid LCUSA Competition License.

LCUSA Spec Tire
Please welcome Yokohama Tire to the Lotus Cup USA series this season. ALL race group drivers are required to compete on the Yokohama Tire Advan A005 Racing Slick (S01 or S04 compound). All tires must be purchased through Trackside Performance (your team/shop can purchase tires for you through Trackside. They must provide a drivers name when ordering).

Spec Tire Price = 190/580R16 (F) = $280 per tire, 230/625R17 (R) = $330 per tire. Excludes tax and shipping.

LCUSA Championship
At the end of the season, the driver with the most points per class will be awarded with the 2012 Lotus Cup USA Championship. You may drop one race, for a total of 13 races going towards the championship. The dropped race will be your lowest finish of the year.In addition, each RACE class champion will receive round-trip airfare to England for the Lotus Academy Program with a Lotus factory tour. In order to qualify for this prize, you must be a member and in good standing with no suspensions or 13/13 violations. You must attend a minimum of 6 events and if you attend all 7, you will receive an additional 5 points to your total. In the event there is a tie, the winner will be determined by the number of 1st place finishes.
For the TIME ATTACK champions, each class winner will receive a Lotus Academy Program with Factory tour and a $500 credit toward the 2012 season. In order to qualify for this prize, you must be a member and in good standing with no suspensions or 13/13 violations. You must attend a minimum of 6 events and if you attend all 7, you will receive an additional 5 points to your total. In the event there is a tie, the winner will be determined by the number of 1st place finishes.
